Four Christmases director Seth Gordon has signed on to direct the romantic comedy Celeste and Jesse Forever, co-written by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack for Overture Films.

According to Variety, Rashida Jones will also star in the film, which revolves around a young divorcing couple who try to maintain their longstanding friendship while pursuing other relationships.

Jones, who is best known for her roles on the NBC comedies The Office and Parks and Recreation, penned the screenplay with writing partner Will McCormack. The project, which was originally set up at Fox Atomic before being picked up by Overture in turnaround, marks the first script sale for Jones and her fellow thesp McCormack, who is poised to play a supporting role in the pic.

Overture is in the process of casting a male lead, and is eyeing an April shoot.
