Fans of the Austin Powers film series have known Seth Green for years now, but the actor wears many other hats in Hollywood as well. Not only does he provide the voice of Chris in Family Guy, but he also is co-creator of the animated hit series Robot Chicken as well. I got a chance to speak with Green on the red carpet of Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane's huge party to celebrate the upcoming DVD Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side, which hits DVD and Blu-ray shelves on December 22. Green's Robot Chicken series has also produced two Star Wars spoof DVD's and I asked Green about this friendly rivalry between MacFarlane and himself.

"I love it, man," Green said on the red carpet at MacFarlane's house. "I love that he does that. Family Guy is such a bigger show than our show, but we share a lot of things and he always says that he thinks the fans like that we all do our own stuff and everybody is off making their own things. He's really cool about promoting it."

I also asked Green when we might see the third installment of the Robot ChickenStar Wars spoof DVD series.

"We're talking about it, yeah," Green said. "We haven't gotten into it yet. We'll probably get the regular season going first." He also said that they would start writing aforementioned regular season at the start of the year.

I hadn't heard anything about Austin Powers 4 in awhile, assuming it was dead, so right before he was about to go into the party, I asked Green about it, and he summed it up rather nicely.

"I wouldn't say it's dead," Green said. "I haven't heard anything about it, you know what I mean? So you can't say it's dead if it was never living."

Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the new season of Robot Chicken likely towards the end of 2010 and you can hear Green as Chris, playing Luke Skywalker in Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side, which you can find on DVD and Blu-ray shelves starting on December 22.
