It seems that the creator of the hit animated series Family Guy is moving to the big screen for his feature directorial debut. Deadline New York is reporting that Seth MacFarlane will direct Ted for Universal Pictures.

It was said that the film will be an R-rated comedy, with a budget of $65 million. MacFarlane wrote the script along with Family Guy's Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. The film was said to center on a man and his teddy bear and the film was said to be a blend of CGI and live-action. MacFarlane will also co-star in the film and provide the voice for the the lead CGI character, along with writing and directing.

The site also reports that this could possibly start production this year, despite MacFarlane's hectic schedule on Family Guy, American Dad! and The Cleveland Show.
