Sony Pictures has handed out a November 25, 2015 release date for their Untitled Christmas Eve Project, which stars Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anthony Mackie, Lizzy Caplan and Jillian Bell.

The comedy will be going up against a number of notable competitors on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving next year, including Universal's Krampus, Disney's The Good Dinosaur, 20th Century Fox's The Martian and Warner Bros.' Midnight Special. The story follows a group of friends who reunite every year to go out on the town in New York City on Christmas Eve. As they decide to make this the last year of their of their tradition, they set out to find the Nutcracka Ball, the holiday party of the year.

Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anthony Mackie are playing the three life-long friends Isaac, Ethan and Chris, with Lizzy Caplan and Jillian Bell playing Isaac and Ethan's wives.

Jonathan Levine is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter & Ariel Shaffir, with Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver producing through their Point Grey Productions company. It isn't known when production may begin.
