TV Guide's Michael Ausiello has learned that the long-in-the-works Sex and the City feature film is finally materializing.

Sources have informed the publication that New Line Cinema is on the verge of closing a deal to distribute the movie in association with HBO.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall will be reprising their roles with an official studio announcement anticipated to come as early as next week.

Filming is scheduled to begin in mid-September with no word on when the movie will reach theatres.
