Summer comedy fans have a shorter wait for Sex Tape, starring Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz. Originally slatted to open on July 25, the movie now opens a week early on July 18.

Once set to take on Paramount's Hercules with Dwayne Johnson, Universal's thriller Lucy starring Scarlett Johansson, and the Lionsgate/Summit franchise sequel Step Up All In, which brings back most of the cast from the entire series, Sex Tape now faces slightly less competition. It will instead go up against The Wachowski Starship's Jupiter Ascending and the Universal sequel The Purge: Anarchy. Both weekends are packed, with no clear winner in sight.

Sex Tape is a traditional R rated sex comedy romp that focuses on a long-married couple who try to spice up their love life with a three-hour lovemaking session caught on video. The whole homemade porno is accidently uploaded into the cloud, where the pair try to evaporate its existence as various members of their family and stable of friends watch in horror.
