It's odd and a little painful to watch Divergent star Shailene Woodley continue to field questions about her time spent as Mary Jane on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. We have it on pretty good authority that she was fired from the role, though there still seems to be a question about whether or not she will return for The Amazing Spider-Man 3. There has been no official word on her reprising the signature comic book girlfriend of Peter Parker, but it looks doubtful. Ever graceful in addressing her return to the world of Marvel folklore, the actress sounds pretty sure she won't be back.

Divergent has proven to be quite successful, with the sequel Insurgent already starting pre-production. Shailene is using this new franchise as a reason why she probably won't be back working with Andrew Garfield as the new love interest in his on-screen life. Woodley believes that the pressure of two franchise will be too much to handle.

"I have no idea [if I'll be back]. I don't even know if I want to do two franchises at this point, now having been through this."

She also spoke a little more about her time shooting The Amazing Spider-Man 2, reiterating that she was only on set for three days, and that the best thing to come out of it was getting to work with Andrew Garfield.

"It was quick. I did three scenes. It was three days. It was nice. To be truly honest, it wasn't anything...Because the scenes were so short, it wasn't anything too intense. But it was really great, because I got to work with Andrew Garfield. He is a great actor, and an all-around, really, really, really, really amazing human being. It was nice to meet him and have that experience."

We've embedded the interview for you to watch. Its interesting to note how Divergent co-star Theo James takes over answering the question about whether or not Shailene Woodley will be back for The Amazing Spider-Man 3. The pair has obviously answered this question before, and its nice to see a fellow actor help out with what could be an awkward situation.
