Just moments ago, another poster for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has just been revealed by Disney and Marvel Studios. With just weeks away with the release of the upcoming Marvel film, this brand new poster is an official IMAX exclusive. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Go ahead and check out the new poster below!

As shown in the brand new IMAX poster, martial arts superhero Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) is centered, while the sinister presence of Wenwu/The Mandarin (Tony Leung) can be seen above. To the left of Simu Liu, a mystical red and white Chinese dragon known as, the Great Protector, can be seen showing its razor sharp teeth. Just beneath Simu Liu, some of the supporting characters are shown as they will all be part of Shang-Chi's journey. These supporting characters on the poster include Shang-Chi's friend, Katy (Awkwafina), alongside the villian known as Razor Fist (Florian Munteanu), and Shang-Chi's estranged sister Xialing (Meng'er Zhang). To the right of the new IMAX poster, a new dragon can be seen flying in the air, but it is currently unclear who that particular dragon may be.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Recently actor Simu Liu had debunked rumors that the infamous space dragon known as, Fin Fang Foom, would be making his first appearance in the upcoming MCU film. However, this brand new poster does show another dragon that could possibly be the same shape shifting species known as the Makluans. In the Marvel comic books, it is revealed that Axonn-Karr of the Makluans is the one who guides the Mandarin to acquire the power rings. The Mandarin eventually finds the Ten Rings in the Valley of Spirits, which is a sacred place that became the crash site of an alien spaceship from the planet Maklu IV. The Ten Rings themselves are actually Makluan technology, which may be the reason why the rings can be seen worn on the forearms of the Mandarin and Shang-Chi in the film. Could they just possibly be rings sized to fit the fingers of dragons?

After producer Jonathan Schwartz promised "the best action [Marvel has] ever done" in Shang-Chi, Cretton says his movie is unique in that it's Marvel Studios' first "purely martial arts movie" with dragons. "This movie is the first time that I think Marvel has put a lot of their emphasis in the action design and, specifically, the choreography. And it's their first time really tackling a more purely martial arts movie, which is super exciting to be a part of," Cretton said. "They obviously didn't hire me because I'm amazing at martial arts movies, so there's also a very strong emotional, dramatic and comedic element to these characters."

He added: "I really fell in love with these characters as we were making [the film], and I think that is something that Marvel continuously does well, is create characters that you can really relate to. And then the most obvious thing is that this is an all Asian and Asian-American cast, which, for me personally, is extremely exciting to have been able to be a part of."

Check out the official synopsis for the film: Marvel Studios' Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.
