Sharon Stone has revealed that she was kicked off popular dating app Bumble. Users casually swiping noticed the actress' profile and automatically believed it was fake, so they reported it numerous times. Bumble's moderators then banned her account.

Sharon Stone took to social media to announce that she had been kicked off the service by sharing her rejection notice, which prompted Bumble to respond twice on social media and then again with a public statement on the matter. Stone is now allowed to do all the swiping she wants. You can read Stone's original post below.

"I went on the Bumble dating sight and they closed my account. Some users reported that it couldn't possibly be me! Hey Bumble, is being me exclusionary? Don't shut me out of the hive."

A lot of Sharon Stone's followers on social media started responding to her Bumble experience. It started with a lot of people being shocked that she was on the dating app to begin with. After the initial shock wore off, Bumble was bombarded with mentions on Twitter, which prompted them to respond. The official Bumble account had this to say.

"There can only be one (queen) Stone. Looks like our users thought you were too good to be true. We've made sure that you won't be blocked again. We hope that everyone in our community takes a sec to verify their profiles. (Catherine Tramell fromBasic Instinct gets a pass today!)"

While a lot of people assumed Sharon Stone would be using the celebrity-friendly dating app Raya, the actress has chosen Bumble, which puts the power in the woman's hands. Women swipe and if they match, they have to be the one to message first. It seems Stone could have avoided this whole incident if she would have verified her photos ahead of time. A Bumble spokesperson explains.

"However, being the icon that she is, we can understand how so many of our users felt it was too good to be true once they noticed her profile wasn't photo verified. Photo verification is just one of the many ways to connect with confidence on Bumble. In light of our mix-up with Sharon Stone, we'd like to extend an invitation for her to come to Austin and allow us to host her at the hive for a few hours of profile prep and great food!"

Sharon Stone's Catherine Tramell from Basic Instinct has been in the news lately due to Netflix's Don't F**k With Cats docuseries. Convicted murderer Luka Magnotta followed a lot of Stone's character from the movie in his murder and his subsequent arrest, making for an interesting look into his frame of mind. The series has been all over the news as viewers have been pretty disturbed by what they saw.

As for the dating world, it appears that Sharon Stone is single and ready to meet some new people on Bumble. While this does certainly seem like a publicity stunt, the dating app promises it is not and claims they were first alerted to the situation last night when Stone posted her tweet. Regardless, this is some amazing free advertising for the dating app. You can check out Sharon Stone's Twitter post below.
