While we already know that Charlie Cox will reprise the role of Daredevil in the Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, be warned, there are SPOILERS for Episode 5 below...

The latest episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, titled Mean, Green, and Straight Poured into These Jeans, has provided the biggest tease so far of Daredevil’s return — and Marvel fans are ecstatic. We have known for some time that Daredevil star Charlie Cox will reprise the role of Matt Murdock aka Daredevil in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, though we have not known when exactly he will appear. Well, thanks to an exciting Easter egg in the latest episode of She-Hulk, we now know we won’t be kept waiting too much longer.

Episode 5 of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law sees Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) seeking out clothes that will fit her new, super-powered body. She eventually connects with Luke Jacobson (Griffin Matthews), a fashion designer who specializes in clothing for superheroes. At the end of the episode, Luke picks up a hat box and, while talking about the importance of confidentiality, reveals that the hat box contains the now yellow helmet of The Man Without Fear himself, Daredevil.

So far, this is the biggest clue that Daredevil’s arrival in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is imminent, with the character due to feature in the series wearing his original yellow-and-red costume. While it has not yet been revealed when Charlie Cox’s vigilante will join She-Hulk, the ending of episode 5 heavily suggests that it will be sooner rather than later.

Daredevil Will Be a Little Lighter When He Makes His She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Debut

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law writer Jessica Gao has revealed some insight into how this version of Daredevil will differ from his more grim and gritty Netflix portrayal – revealing that he will lighten up a bit.

“Charlie is so wonderful. He’s so game to do whatever, and he’s such a wonderful actor and a wonderful human being,” Gao said. “What was so fun about bringing him and Daredevil into our world is that people have already seen a Daredevil who is very dramatic, a little bit on the heavy side, very dark, brooding. It was so fun to be able to do–and we do this with every character cameo from the MCU–is we take them from the environment that you know them from, which is a much more dramatic and action-oriented role, much more on the serious side, and we bring them into our world, and they get to play in the tone of She-Hulk. And they got to explore, and we get to see a lighter side of that character.”

Following his appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Charlie Cox will once again don the mask for his own series, Daredevil: Born Again, which is due for release on Disney+. While details remain scarce, Cox has assured fans that the character will not stray far from the pages of Marvel Comics. Daredevil: Born Again is due for release in Spring 2024. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law meanwhile is currently ongoing and will wrap up on October 13, 2022.
