Writer-director Sheldon Lettich is taking on Hercules: The Beginning set for Alexander Nevsky to star and his production company, Hollywood Storm, to produce.

According to Variety, the move comes at a time when Universal Pictures and Nu Image/Millennium productions are also planning projects based on the Greek hero.

Lettich's co-wrote the script for Rambo III, and also writing and directing the action pic, Double Impact.
