Jennifer Lopez is back on the big screen with Shotgun Wedding, a romantic comedy with a heavy emphasis on action. The film features a star-studded cast, with a trailer full of laughs and one big twist. Shotgun Wedding comes from Jason Moore, the director behind the beloved 2012 comedy Pitch Perfect. This will be the first feature film for Moore since Sisters, a 2015 comedy starring Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, and Maya Rudolph.

The trailer starts with the run-of-the-mill Hollywood romantic comedy tropes before things go completely haywire. The title, Shotgun Wedding, certainly fits the premise, as there will be plenty of action, gun fights, and suspense to keep audiences on the edge of their seat. The official synopsis for the film reads:

"In Shotgun Wedding, Darcy (Lopez) and Tom (Josh Duhamel) gather their lovable but very opinionated families for the ultimate destination wedding, just as the couple begin to get cold feet. And if that wasn't enough of a threat to the celebration, suddenly everyone's lives are in danger when the entire party is taken hostage. 'Til Death Do Us Part' takes on a whole new meaning in this hilarious, adrenaline-fueled adventure as Darcy and Tom must save their loved ones - if they don't kill each other first."

Josh Duhamel has a ton of experience in Hollywood, starring in films such as Transformers, Safe Haven, Buddy Games, and Love Simon. But, despite his illustrious career, Duhamel was still blown away by his co-star Jennifer Lopez. During an interview with ExtraTV, the 49-year-old actor said shooting Shotgun Wedding was "like a dream."

"It was like a dream, man it was so much fun. I've known [Jennifer Lopez] for a long time and so we got into lockstep very quickly. She was just such an awesome partner in this movie, such a pro, she was totally engaged, she loved the process and she really had a great time in the movie. And Lenny Kravitz, you know for being the rock star that he is, he couldn't be a nicer dude. He really couldn't. He's awesome."

Hopefully, the cast has excellent chemistry, like Duhamel says, because the film looks like it could be a lot of fun. Once again, Shotgun Wedding arrives on Prime Video early next year on Jan. 27.
