The Flash series has become a massive success, bringing The Flash to the forefront of the superhero world and establishing him as one of the most beloved characters in the DC Comics universe. Over the course of nine seasons, the show has explored The Flash's mythology and supporting characters while also delivering on its promise of high-speed action, humor, and heart. The series has also been instrumental in establishing the Arrowverse, a shared universe of DC Comics-based shows.

Eric Wallace, the showrunner of The Flash on The CW, recently spoke with TVLine and expressed his excitement for the upcoming big-screen version of The Flash, which will star Ezra Miller. Although Wallace has not yet seen the movie, he is eager to see it and can't wait to be the first in line. He believes that there is room for all different versions of The Flash, whether it be on TV or in a movie, and loves the character so much. He acknowledges that Grant Gustin will always be the Flash for a certain generation, just like Christopher Reeve was Superman for his generation. But he also thinks that a new generation will see Ezra Miller as their Flash too.

“I do believe there’s a world for all things Flash — Elseworlds, TV, movie… whatever. I just love the character so much,” Wallace opined. “Grant [Gustin] will always be the Flash for a certain generation in the same way that for my generation Christopher Reeve was Superman. That doesn’t mean I’m not excited to see Michael B. Jordan play a Black Superman — I can’t wait for that — or for the other Supermans, like Henry Cavill or Brandon Routh. I love them all, but I grew up with Christopher Reeve. So there’s a whole group of folks who are going to grow up saying, ‘Grant was my Flash.’ But then there’ll be a new generation of folks that say, ‘Ezra Miller, they are my Flash, too.'”
