That loveable green ogre is a hit once again on video.

Shrek the Third made a big debut on video last week, topping both the sales and rental charts for the week ending November 18. Their opening DVD week was so massive that the disc is already among the top 10 DVD sellers of the year. Last week's top finisher, Ratatouille, dropped one spot for second place this week while Ocean's Thirteen debuted in the number three spot.

The power of Shrek was apparent as two other Shrek DVD's sold well also. Shrek 2 came back to the top 20 in sales, in the 17th spot, while the The Shrek Trilogy debuted in the 12th spot.

On the rental side of the charts, Shrek the Third was tops with estimated rental earnings of $11 million, while Ocean's Thirteen took second in rentals with $7.9 million. Last week's top rental, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry was right on Ocean's heels, taking the bronze on the rental charts with an estimated $7.7 million.

Shrek the Third topped one of the high-definition charts as well, taking the HD DVD crown for the week, handily defeating Ocean's Thirteen by a 3-to-1 margin. On the Blu-Ray side, Ratatouille remained the top seller while Ocean's Thirteen, one of the few recent releases in both high-def formats, took second place for Blu-Ray as well.
