With his Sundance sensation Buried to hit theaters in October, director Rodrigo Cortés is working on his follow-up film which has just landed a major star. Bloody-Disgusting is reporting that Sigourney Weaver has signed on to star in Cortes' next film, Red Lights.

Weaver will star as Margaret Matheson in the film, which revolves around, "a para-psychologist who attempts to debunk a very reputable psychic who has just returned to the limelight after 30 years." It wasn't clear whether or not Matheson will be the psychic or the para-psychologist.

Director Rodrigo Cortés himself said the film was, "about how the brain does not give a true picture of reality." No production schedule was given for the film as of yet. Cortes' Buried, which stars Ryan Reynolds, is set for release on October 8.
