In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Simon Pegg is presently in negotiations to come back as Benji Dunn in Paramount's Mission: Impossible 4. Brad Bird (The Incredibles) is directing this film.

Even though the film hasn't yet received a greenlight, the plan is for it to begin shooting in early September. Brad Bird has been meeting with actors this week.

Tom Cruise is coming back as agent Ethan Hunt. The plot of the film is being kept a secret. J.J. Abrams is producing this project with Cruise and Paula Wagner. He also worked on the story with writers André Nemec and Josh Appelbaum.

Simon Pegg coming back to this franchise would be a reunion of sorts with J.J. Abrams. They also worked together on Star Trek.
