Three-time Golden Globe Awards hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are finally reuniting once again on the big screen with the upcoming comedy Sisters, with the first two photos debuting through Entertainment Weekly's 2015 preview issue. The actresses are best known for their work on the small screen, with their respective hits 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation, which is heading into its final season starting next month. However, they have also paired up on the big screen as well in 2004's Mean Girls and 2008's Baby Mama, and they both had cameos in last year's Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
In Sisters, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler play two siblings who learn that their childhood house is about to be sold. Before the new owners can take over, they throw one last massive party in their old home. The stellar supporting cast is rounded out by James Brolin, Ike Barinholtz, Maya Rudolph, Madison Davenport, John Leguizamo and WWE Superstar John Cena.
It isn't known quite yet when we may see the first trailer for this upcoming comedy, but we do know that it may be at a slight disadvantage when it comes to their release date of December 18, 2015, the same day that Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens nationwide. When asked about the daunting task of opening against one of the millennium's most anticipated movies, Amy Poehler revealed that's she's confident about her movie's chances. Take a look at what she had to say below, then check out the photo.
"We said we'd only do the movie if it opened against Star Wars. We're not scared. It's what gets us up in the morning. We're going to f---ing crush Star Wars."
