Composer Thomas Newman will handle the scoring duties for the upcoming 007 adventure Skyfall. While this is his first time scoring a James Bond movie, this will be his fifth time working with director Sam Mendes. He previously composed the scores for American Beauty, Road To Perdition, Jarhead, and Revolutionary Road.

David Arnold has composed the scores for the last five Bond movies, but he is unavailable this time around, due to his position as the musical director for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Thomas Newman has scored over 50 feature films in his career, and has been nominated for 10 Academy Awards. His latest work includes scores for The Adjustment Bureau, The Help, and The Iron Lady.
