Rappers Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa are teaming up to develop the stoner comedy, High School, which grew out of a musical collaboration between the pair.

"Just being a fan of his music and likewise, he called me to be on a remix," Snoop Dogg said after his performance Saturday night at SXSW. "And from the remix, we became close friends and spent time together. ... [We] made six or seven songs and created an idea to do a movie and a soundtrack and just a bond -- to build a friendship and build a brotherhood."

High School will begin filming during the first week of May. No release date has been set.
