A straight-to-video sequel overcame a flurry of new theatrical releases to take the DVD sales crown. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Snow Buddies, the latest in the Air Bud series, was the surprising DVD sales winner for the week ending February 10.

It was quite a landslide victory, as Snow Buddies sold more than 50% more discs than second-place finisher Across the Universe. Other notable new releases of the week include The Brave One in third place, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford in fifth and Elizabeth: The Golden Age in seventh.

On the rental side, The Game Plan stayed atop the charts for a third straight week, taking in $7.4 million in rental biz.

Across the Universe grabbed the top spot on the Blu-Ray sales charts while Elizabeth: The Golden Age took the HD DVD sales crown.
