Sony isn't quite giving up on the Universal Media Disc (UMD) format quite yet.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Sony is taking another stab at its UMD format, this time aiming at putting the small-screen TV content on their Playstation Portable (PSP) small screen.

Sony is teaming up with MTV to make some of their various shows available on the UMD format. Available titles will include Jackass - Vols. 2 & 3, Beavis and Butt-Head: The Mike Judge Collection, Vol. 2, Beavis and Butt-Head: The Mike Judge Collection, Vol. 3, Wildboyz: The Complete First Season, Wildboyz - The Complete Second Season Uncensored, Viva la Bam: Complete Second and Third Seasons, and Aeon Flux - The Complete Animated Collection.

"This collaboration with MTV is a key first step in meeting the needs of our consumers, who are utilizing PSP as a video player more than ever, and are thirsting for more content, particularly short-form videos," said Phil Rosenberg, senior VP for sales and business development for Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA).

It hasn't been announced when these new UMD's will be released.
