In a story from Variety, Sony has picked up the rights to A Butler Well Served by This Election.

The film examines the real life story of an African-American butler who worked in the White House.

Apparently, Washington Post writer Wil Haygood wrote a story "on Eugene Allen's 34 years at the White House."

Allen started work under Harry Truman in 1942 and he left when Ronald Reagan was in office in 1986.
