It seems that Kevin James will be talking to animals next summer instead of this fall. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony Pictures has moved their film The Zookeeper out of its October 8 release date and into a July 8, 2011 release date.

It was said that Sony made the move to help fill out its summer schedule and to also take advantage of the lucrative summer blockbuster season as well.

"It's got tremendous heart and soul," said Sony distribution president Rory Bruer. "And talking animals? Gimme a break, it's so funny."

The film centers around James' title character who starts to hear the animals in his zoo talking to him. The voice cast includes such actors as Adam Sandler, Sylvester Stallone, Rosario Dawson and Cher.
