Sony has plans to bring their best-selling video game franchise Gran Turismo to the big screen. Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti (Fifty Shades of Grey) are on board to produce.

The games didn't follow a specific storyline, but it featured 140 different cars from around the globe and took racers to 11 different racing courses. The series is one of Sony's best selling titles to date, dispensing more than 70 million copies worldwide.

Electronic Arts is also teaming with Dreamworks to bring their highly successful franchise Need for Speed to the big screen with Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul starring and Scott Waugh at the helm. The film will be hitting theaters March 14, 2014. Legendary Pictures is working on a deal with Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and Simon Crane to bring Hot Wheels to life as well.
