Sony Pictures has acquired White Dad, a comedy pitch from former Harvard Lampoon writer Alan Yang.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comedy's plot is being kept under wraps.

Yang recently inked a deal to write on the upcoming NBC spinoff of The Office starring Amy Poehler.

No production date has been set.
