Speed Racer: The Next Generation Revs It Up on DVD on May 6th

A new animated disc is set to drop right before the new theatrical film.

Now you can go Speed Racer on DVD right before you go to the theater. Speed Racer: The Next Generation - The Beginning will be hitting the DVD shelves on May 6. The Speed Racer: The Next Generation TV series will premiere on May 2 on the Nickelodeon's NickToons 24-hour network. The Speed Racer film will hit the theaters as well on May 9. We don't have any cover art on this new 66-minute disc, but it will be priced at $19.98 SRP.

The Beginning finds Speed Racer challenged at The Racing Academy while supported by friends Conor, Lucy and Conor's monkey, Chim Chim.
