Spider-Man: Far from Home stars Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal may have been having some extra fun on their promotional tour. The two actors apparently hit it off right away and have been out promoting their project together. Upon closer inspection, the duo appear to be dressing as the main characters from Saturday Night Live's A Night at the Roxbury. Will Ferrell played Steve Butabi, while Chris Kattan played Doug Butabi in the famous sketch, which was turned into a movie in 1998.

Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal look like they are having fun while they're promoting Spider-Man: Far From Home, but those press tours can get a bit monotonous as the actors are asked the exact same question hundreds of times. This may have led to Gyllenhaal and Holland, or their stylists, coming up with a plan to keep things interesting for themselves. While looking at their outfits in recent interviews and the red carpet premiere, they sure look a lot like Steve and Dave Butabi from A Night at the Roxbury.

A Night At The Roxbury was a sketch in the 90s before becoming a movie in 1998, when Tom Holland was just 2-years old. He could be a comedy fan and appreciate the 90s work of Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan, or the idea could have come from Jake Gyllenhaal, who was 18-years old when the movie came out. Regardless, the Spider-Man: Far From Home premiere makes them look like some old club dudes from the late 90s with Gyllenhaal even rocking a gold chain to match up perfectly. The only difference is that they're not wearing black shirts.

Spider-Man: Far From Home has officially premiered and fans from all over the world will be seeing the movie within the next handful of days. The early Far From Home reviews are in, and much like the early reactions, they are almost unanimously positive. This bodes well for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its future as Phase 3 officially comes to a close and ushers in the mysterious Phase 4. As far as the box office is concerned, the sequel will make at least five times what A Night at the Roxbury made in its entire theatrical run in one holiday week.

A Night at the Roxbury was not well-received upon its release and it currently holds an 11% Fresh Rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, the movie did go on to become a cult favorite and Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Holland might be responsible for bringing the movie and the SNL sketches back into the limelight. As for whether or not this is on purpose or not, the two actors have not officially confirmed their wardrobe influences.
