Now that the digital and home release of Marvel’s record-breaking Spider-Man: No Way Home has been revealed, Sony Pictures Entertainment has released details of what content we can expect from the “over 80 minutes of new and behind the scenes content.” Amongst the material of extras usually included, the real excitement comes from the revelation that there will be "20 minutes" of footage with ‘Peter 2’ and ‘Peter 3’, played by prior Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

While it is unknown whether these will be deleted scenes or backstage banter between the three Spider-Man variants, fans of Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Spider-Man in general, will no doubt be happy just to hear that we will see more of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s involvement in the MCU project.

Spider-Man: No Way Home begins where Spider-Man: Far From Home left off, with our friendly neighborhood hero's identity revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.

Thanks to the madness of the multiverse, both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire are brought back into the superhero fray, with the two actors reprising their respective versions of Spider-Man. Their inclusion had been rumored for some time, with Andrew Garfield forced to lie about his and Maguire’s involvement for months. Despite it being something of an open secret, the delight of seeing the two actors return as Spider-Man managed to retain its effect. Their comeback resulted in not only one of the most crowd-pleasing moments in the MCU, but also one of the most emotionally effective as Peter 2 and Peter 3 help Tom Holland’s Peter Parker come to terms with his superhero responsibilities.

While Peter 2 and Peter 3 are sent back to their home universes come the movie’s end, Andrew Garfield has expressed his desire to appear alongside Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire in a future Spider-Man project. “I would love to continue to work with Tobey and with Tom,” the actor said. “That three-brother dynamic is so juicy. But to be honest...I'm so happy and satisfied and grateful to be a part of this that it's hard to want more right now. I'm really trying to savor this moment with the fans, with the audience, and say thank you. I feel very very humbled and grateful for the response." With the multiverse now unleashed, it’s certainly possible that audiences could see the three Peters unite all over again.
