Warning! Major Spider-Man: No Way Home SPOILERS to follow...

The most recent Marvel outing, Spider-Man: No Way Home, saw various supervillain variants unleashed on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the action-packed finale teasing the arrival of many more. With the multiverse cracking open, the final moments of Spider-Man: No Way Home tease the existence of other troublesome bad guys, showing them as mysterious silhouettes. Now, a new TikTok video by user kevinmoranrob claims to have identified these potential foes, with some surprising results.

During the final act of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange must do his best to keep the slowly collapsing multiverse contained, but while his efforts are admirable, several rifts begin to open in the sky, showing silhouettes of a variety of villainous variants, each of whom wishes to invade the MCU and cause trouble for Tom Holland’s web-slinger. And, thanks to this video, we may now know who these figures were.

It seems that the likes of familiar Spider-Man rogues Scorpion, Rhino, and Mysterio were among the invading multiverse menaces, with both Scorpion and Rhino looking to be a lot more comic book accurate than previous live-action iterations. Alongside this trio, we also get a silhouetted glimpse of Felicia Hardy’s antiheroine, Black Cat, and a figure holding a spear who can surely only be the iconic Kraven the Hunter, who will soon make his debut in his own standalone Sony venture starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Perhaps the most surprising revelation is the emergence of The Superior Spider-Man, a version of Spider-Man whose mind has been taken over by none other than Doctor Octopus. Beginning in 2013, The Superior Spider-Man was written by Dan Slott, with artwork by Ryan Stegman, Humberto Ramos, and Giuseppe Camuncoli, and introduces a world in which Peter Parker is killed off and replaced with his nemesis Otto Octavius, who swaps his consciousness with Parker and leaves him to die in his original decaying body. However, while he planned to continue his reign as a supervillain, Octavius instead finds himself inspired by Peter Parker, and thus strives to become the greatest version of Spider-Man that New York has ever seen. If nothing else, the idea of Tom Holland combining with Alfred Molina is an intriguing one.

While it is unknown whether Marvel or Sony or both have any future plans for these characters to come together, it’s hard to ignore the fact that there are six of them. Sony has wanted to create a Sinister Six movie for quite some time, and certainly a line-up comprised of Rhino, Scorpion, Kraven, Black Cat, Mysterio, and Superior Spider-Man would provide a massive challenge for Peter Parker. Each one of these characters has been, or at least is going to be, brought to the big screen in some capacity (if you count Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock becoming Superior Spider-Man, of course) meaning that, should they want to, Sony and Marvel can simply bring back the same actors similarly to what audiences saw in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The opening of the multiverse creates all manner of exciting possibilities for the Spider-Man, and if even just some of these supervillains are brought into the fray alongside Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, Marvel and Sony can be sure to continue the success of No Way Home.
