Ever since filming began on Spider-Man: Homecoming in Atlanta this past June, we've seen plenty of set photos and videos from director Jon Watts and star Tom Holland. Today we have a new video from Jon Watts, which doesn't feature Tom Holland or any other cast member, but it does tease that some aerial stunt work is happening on the set. The brief video shows a "To Set" sign pointing up revealing a helicopter above him.
Unfortunately, we don't see much else in this Instagram video, and the director wouldn't shed any light on what this helicopter was being used for. The helicopter did have a wire or a cable hanging down from it, which could mean that someone might be rappelling from the helicopter, but we don't know for sure. We don't know how much more filming is left on this new Spider-Man adventure, which has been set for release on July 7, 2017.
This video comes just a few days after Tom Holland sent out an intriguing set photo where Tom Holland and Jacob Batalon were at the Porsche headquarters in Atlanta. While the photo itself didn't reveal any spoilers, since the Porsche headquarters was used as the new Avengers facility in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man, many fans are now assumig that Spider-Man could be visiting this upstate New York facility. It's possible that Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark, who recruited Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War, could be bringing Peter to this facility.
Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark is currently the only Avenger confirmed for Spider-Man: Homecoming, but it was recently revealed that Jon Favreau will reprise his role as Tony's driver/bodyguard Happy Hogan, and there is also another potential connection to Captain America (Chris Evans) as well. Scarlett Johansson is also reportedly reprising her role as Black Widow. A leaked cast list revealed that Kenneth Choi is playing Principal Morita, who is most likely the grandson or another descendant of the actor's previous character Jim Morita, one of Cap's Howling Commandos from 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger.
The Spider-Man: Homecoming cast also includes Marisa Tomei returning as Aunt May from Captain America: Civil War. The cast also includes Zendaya Coleman as the female lead Michelle, rumored to actually be Mary-Jane Watson, Laura Harrier as Liz Allan, Jacob Batalon playing Ned Leeds, Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson and Michael Keaton, rumored to be playing the villainous Vulture. The cast also includes a number of actors in unknown roles such as Donald Glover, Michael Barbieri, Abraham Attah, Logan Marshall-Green, Tyne Daly, Michael Mando, Garcelle Beauvais, J.J. Totah, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. and Isabella Amara. Take a look at the new set video from Spider-Man: Homecoming below.
