The latest trailer for Spies in Disguise is here. In addition, 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios have revealed new character posters and the latest single promoting the animated comedy. The spy comedy stars Will Smith and Tom Holland as they become an unlikely team to help take down crime. The first single for the movie is performed by Mark Ronson and Anderson .Paak and it's pretty catchy, to say the least. You can get a tease of the song below.
The title of the new single from the Spies in Disguise soundtrack is "Then There Were Two." It was written and performed by Mark Ronson and Anderson .Paak, with production by Ronson who has worked with many artists over the years. Ronson has worked behind the boards for Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, and Queens of the Stone Age, to name a few. The soundtrack album, Mark Ronson Presents the Music of Spies in Disguise, will be available via Zelig Records/RCA Records December 13th.
The latest look at Spies in Disguise features the comedic chemistry between Will Smith and Tom Holland. The two are an unlikely duo in the movie and most of the jokes in the trailer have to do with Smith's character turning into a bird and wanting to be "un-birded," though Holland's character reminds him that he actually "birded" himself. In addition, "Then There Were Two" is teased in the background with vocals from both Mark Ronson and Anderson .Paak. It sounds like the Birds in Disguise soundtrack might be able to move a few units.
Spies in Disguise is an animated spy comedy adventure set in the slick, high-octane, globe-trotting world of international espionage. Super spy Lance Sterling (Will Smith) and scientist Walter Beckett (Tom Holland) are almost exact opposites. Lance is smooth, suave and debonair. Walter is... not. But when events take an unexpected turn, this unlikely duo is forced to team up for the ultimate mission that will require an almost impossible disguise-transforming Lance into the brave, fierce, majestic... pigeon. Walter and Lance suddenly have to work as a team, or the whole world is in peril.
Spies in Disguise is directed by Troy Quane and Nick Bruno from a screenplay by Brad Copeland and Lloyd Taylor and a screen story by Cindy Davis inspired by the animated short film Pigeon Impossible by Lucas Martell. In addition to Will Smith and Tom Holland, the movie also stars Rashida Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Reba McEntire, Rachel Brosnahan, Karen Gillan, DJ Khaled and Masi Oka. Spies in Disguise is produced by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Michael J. Travers, p.g.a., with Chris Wedge and Kori Adelson serving as executive producers.
