If the red band trailer for Stage Fright released earlier this week was too bloody for you to handle, then you're in luck, because Magnolia Pictures has just debuted an all-ages look at this unique horror movie. The story centers on a teenager (Allie MacDonald) who dreams of becoming a Broadway star like her mother before her, but, for now, she is stuck on kitchen duty in a performing arts camp for snobby actors. She sneaks into an audition and lands the lead role, but her acting chops become the least of her worries when a sadistic killer terrorizes the entire camp. Minnie Driver, Meat Loaf and Douglas Booth co-star in director Jerome Sable's thriller, debuting on iTunes and VOD formats April 3 before arriving in theaters May 9. The film will make its world premiere at the South By Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas on Monday, March 10.
