When Stan Lee was honored at the Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival in Los Angeles, he revealed to Collider that Marvel is seriously considering a film based on Power Pack.

Lee said that all of the major Marvel characters have been considered for development into films. The last few years have already brought Marvel legends Spider-Man, The Hulk and the X-Men to the screen, with lesser-known characters Ghost Rider, Daredevil, Elektra and The Punisher also receiving their own movies. Soon we will be getting such big-name characters as Iron Man, Thor and Captain America. But Lee also said that Marvel is considering such unlikely characters as Power Pack.

"They've been talking about... now they're not working on it but they have been discussing whether to do it." Lee said.

For those who don't recognize the name Power Pack (which would be most people), the four Power children (Alex, Julie, Jack and Katie) came to the aid of an alien scientist who had been critically injured battling his enemies, the Snarks. Dying, the alien passed his powers on to the four children and tasked them to complete his mission. The four kids went on to be the first team of pre-teen superheroes in comics.

Power Pack was notable for dealing with social issues including sexual abuse, child runaways and drug abuse. Despite being a book about child superheroes, the book dealt with more mature issues than most comics were willing to touch in the eighties.

Power Pack ran 62 issues, with the characters resurfacing in other comics and mini-series since that time.
