Stanley Tucci has just joined the film adaptation of the novel Julie & Julia. According to Variety, Meryl Streep and Amy Adams have already signed on to play the two title characters.
The story revolves around a woman (Adams) that decides to cook all of Julia Childs' recipes in a year's time. Streep will play Childs, and Tucci will be playing her husband. The film is also said to chronicle Childs' years in Paris during the 1940s and 50s, when her husband was suspected of having ties to the communists.
The film is set to go into production early next year.
