Last month, fans got an early look at Star Trek Beyond through a series of videos for the sequel's Omaze campaign. This initiative highlights nine worthy charities, each hand-picked by cast members, while giving a few lucky fans a chance to win a trip to the set. Since this is the final week of the campaign, star Zachary Quinto put out one last video, which pays tribute to the late Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy.

Fans who contribute to the campaign this week will be donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that is leading the way in advancing cures for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. This charity was nominated by Susan Nimoy in honor of her husband Leonard Nimoy. The campaign ends on Monday, September 1, and fans who want to win a trip to the set must donate $10 or more.

One grand prize winner will make franchise history as the first fans ever to win a walk on role in a Star Trek movie. The winner will be flown to the Vancouver set and boldly go behind the scenes, hang with the cast, and witness the filming of Star Trek Beyond. In addition to the grand prize winner, they are also selecting weekly Honorary Crew Member winners, who will also win a trip to the set.

While the earlier Omaze videos gave fans a look at new alien props in the sci-fi sequel, this last video doesn't reveal anything from the set. However, a video from last week gave us our first look at a new alien character, played by Kingsman: The Secret Service star Sofia Boutella. Idris Elba also joins the franchise in this sequel, and it is believed he is playing the main villain.

Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness stars Chris Pine (Captain Kirk), Zachary Quinto (Spock), Simon Pegg (Scotty), Karl Urban (Bones), Zoe Saldana (Uhura) and Anton Yelchin (Chekov) reprise their roles for Star Trek Beyond, which is set for release on July 8, 2016. Stay tuned for more from the set of Star Trek Beyond as production continues. In the meantime, check out the latest Omaze video below.
