When it comes to finding out what characters and concepts actually look like in Star Wars: Episode VII, we sometimes have to rely on spies who've seen the actual item in question as they report back with their own sketches and drawings of the props and costumes. It worked for the new /star-wars-episode-vii-sketch-reveals-new-stormtrooper-design/Stormtrooper helmets, with the drawing later to be confirmed as true through GPS tracking. Now, we have sketches of Daisy Ridley's character in costume, which are reminiscent of Luke Skywalker's Bespin garb, with a little bit of Boba Fett thrown in for good measure.

John Ward of Making Star Wars claims to have seen concept art for Daisy Ridley with his own eyes. Sadly, he could not get his hands on the real thing to show us all. Instead, he has made a sketch of the costume, which you can see here:

John Ward describes what he saw:

"I had trouble with the loose free-flowing scarf, so I didn't depict it. She has a ton of detail and gadgets on the costume, so please forgive me for any ambiguities. The pants reminded me of Boba Fett's pants (they're not). The knee pads, chest and scarf are a dark blue. The pants are grey. Her arms are a white "bone" looking padding, tied off with brown straps. My sketch looks like she has a hat brim but that is supposed to be a transparent visor. It's like a solid piece of glass or plastic and you can see her eyes through it. The stances below are nearly identical to the art I was shown.

I believe when we are introduced to the character, she has all the gear on. When she returns from finding what she finds, she is dressed in the "gear off" costume. I also have heard the concept art depicted are the costumes used in the film, but they're a little less complex and busy in reality. It sounds like they needed to make them more practical for filming and movement, but that's just a guess."

Daisy Ridley has long been suspected of playing Han Solo and Princess Leia's daughter. The sketch indicates that she has a lightsaber, which would make her a Jedi. Was Uncle Luke her Jedi Master? In previous reports, the character is said to be on Tatooine (or a different desert planet with a similar atmosphere). She teams up with an AWOL Stormtrooper played by John Boyega, and the pair find a severed hand holding Luke's lightsaber. They soon join Han Solo and Chewbacca on a mission to find the missing Jedi master.
