Star Wars: The Force Awakens is expected to arrive at Comic-Con 2015 with a new trailer in tow. One that will likely show off some of the as-yet-unseen characters from this continuation of the franchise. Many hope that will include a first look at Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia. But we may have an advanced sneak peek at the iconic actress in her new costume and hairdo courtesy of a leaked photo.
The Hashtag Show got their hands on this image, which claims to be from a costume fitting. We see Carrie Fisher showing of her Rebel solider inspired black vest and grey jumpsuit, which is very reminiscent of her costume during the third act of Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. While this photo is not confirmed to be the real thing, it does match up with promo art that previously leaked on the web, revealing that Leia has ditched her iconic buns for a more regal ponytail.
It is believed that Princess Leia has taken on more responsibility as a military leader in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, helping to lead the Rebellion. In the new film, the Galactic Empire is now known as The First Order, while the Rebellion is known as The Resistance. Do you like Princess Leia's look as a Resistance leader? Or do you think this is fake? Looks pretty real to us!
It's deflating to my childhood visions of Princess Leia that she now has a troubling similarity to Hillary Clinton. pic.twitter.com/bCFt5r87gu— Alan Cornett (@alancornett) June 16, 2015
