Yesterday, a rumor surfaced that the third trailer for Disney and LucasFilm's highly-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens will finally be released on Monday, October 19, which arrives in conjunction with tickets going on sale that same day. Screen Crush, which first reported on the trailer debut, has also reportedly confirmed that the runtime for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been locked in at two hours and 16 minutes. If this runtime is correct, director J.J. Abrams' sci-fi adventure will have the exact same length as Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, but it still won't be the longest Star Wars movie, a distinction which belongs to 2002's Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.

If tickets for Star Wars: The Force Awakens are going on sale this coming Monday, we should have official word about both the ticket sales and the third and final trailer either today or tomorrow. As for what will be shown in the trailer, we have no clue, but many are hoping that the new footage will include our first look at Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker. The iconic character has been absent from the first two trailers, and the behind-the-scenes video from Comic-Con that gave us our first look at Carrie Fisher's Princess Leia.

During New York Comic Con last weekend, it was revealed that the next wave of books in the Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens series will shed light on new characters, who were first seen in Vanity Fair photos that debuted in May. The Perfect Weapon, written by Delilah Dawson, will explore the character of Bazine, the young woman wearing the black hood in the middle of this photo, who is seen sitting on an imposing yet unidentified alien species. The book will be released on November 24, and will be followed by the "intergalactic swashbuckling pirate story" The Crimson Corsair and the Lost Treasure of Count Dooku from expanded universe writer Alan Dean Foster, which will shed new light on the alien wearing red armor at the far right of the same photo.

In related news, Topps has unveiled the final two trading cards from Star Wars: The Force Awakens classic series, which feature the new heroes Finn (John Boyega) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac). These cards were unveiled through the Star Wars Card Trader App, which fans can download from the iTunes App Store or on Google Play. Unfortunately, the Finn trading card doesn't showcase the character with a lightsaber, as we've seen in previous posters and videos.

J.J. Abrams directs Star Wars: The Force Awakens from a script he co-wrote with Lawrence Kasdan. After this adventure hits theaters in December, fans will have one whole year to get ready for the first spinoff, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which hits theaters on December 16, 2016. Star Wars: Episode VIII will follow on May 26, 2017, along with Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo Movie on May 25, 2018 and Star Wars: Episode IX in 2019. Disney and LucasFilm are also developing a third spinoff, rumored to center on Boba Fett, which may debut in 2020. While we wait for more details, check out the trading cards below, along with Screen Crush' tweet regarding the runtime of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
