There has been speculation that the next trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut at the semi-annual Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California next month, although that has yet to be confirmed. However, Electronic Arts announced today that their upcoming video game Star Wars: Battlefront will debut at Star Wars Celebration, which runs from April 16 to April 19. Take a look at EA's official statement below.

"We're thrilled to share that Star Wars Battlefront will be taking part in Star Wars Celebration next month in Anaheim, CA from April 16-19. We could not think of a better or more appropriate place to debut the game officially for the first time than the premier event that celebrates the Star Wars universe and the legions of fans who have fallen in love with it."

Unfortunately, no details about this "debut" were given. It isn't known if fans will be able to actually play this game for the first time at Star Wars Celebration, or if gameplay footage will be shown. EA did say that more details will be announced in the coming weeks, so we'll be sure to keep you posted. EA has not announced when Star Wars: Battlefront will be released, but it will likely debut later this year, to coincide with the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Here's what Star Wars: Battlefront Design Director Niklas Fegraeus had to say about the game in a statement last year.

"The scale of our maps and modes offer a great variety depending on the location. Hoth, where the Rebel Alliance fought off invading AT-ATs in snowy plains, will differ in size than the dense woodland of Endor....We have actually made the decision to specifically tailor certain maps to certain game modes and what we get from that is not only incredibly varied scales, but also gameplay that will allow players to live out some of their most memorable Star Wars battle fantasies."
