Sure, it's a full year away. But it's never too early to start preparing for next year's Star Wars Celebration. Today is Star Wars Day. And as is tradition, LucasFilm has officially unveiled the home base of next year's big event, which will bring plenty of cool Star Wars: Episode VIII surprises. If you are in the Orlando, Florida area, get ready for one of the biggest things to ever land in this galaxy. Tickets go on sale this May.

Here is the official press release from StarWars.com, which reveals all the information you need if you plan on attending: The rendezvous point for Star Wars Celebration 2017 has been confirmed! Set coordinates for Orlando, Florida, April 13-16, 2017, at the Orange County Convention Center! Tickets, including 4-day, single-day, and VIP, are scheduled to go on sale Wednesday, May 25, at 12:00 p.m. PT/3:00 p.m. ET/9:00 p.m. GMT at StarWarsCelebration.com. Said Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm.

Guest and event announcements for Star Wars Celebration 2017 in Orlando will begin soon at StarWarsCelebration.com and StarWars.com. This year's Star Wars Celebration will take place at London's ExCel Centre, July 15-17. While next year's Star Wars Celebration will be all about Star Wars: Episode VIII, this year's big event will have Rogue One: A Star Wars Story as it's centerpiece. And we can expect to see the second trailer at that time.

Last year's big Star Wars Celebration took place in the home of Disneyland, Anaheim, California. Over 50,000 descended up the event for an exclusive look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens. A brand new trailer was shown to a sold-out crowd, and the event welcomed such iconic Star Wars stars as Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford. Much of the event was live streamed so those unable to make it to Anaheim could watch along. There's no telling what kind of surprises are in store for this July and Next April. So stay tuned as more details break over the next year. And May the 4th be with you!
