Design Artist Tom Hodges, who has worked on many Star Wars related projects in the past, got an early look at the new Stormtroopers being utilized on screen when Star Wars: Episode VII hits theaters in December of 2015. The classic design has been tweaked somewhat, and it clearly has a Ralph McQuarrie feel to it.

While Tom Hodges wasn't able to snap a photo of the real thing, he decided to draw what he saw, and then shared the image on Instagram. LucasFilm and Disney have since removed that post, but through the magic of the Internet, the image has been shared enough times that it still exists. Take a look at what the Stormtroopers in Star Wars: Episode VII will possibly look like:

What do you think of this new design? Should director J.J. Abrams has stayed with the classic look we all know and love, or are you glad to see some things getting an update in this used universe?
