While The Academy Awards are broadcast to over 225 countries throughout the world, most have their own Oscar-like awards shows, including France, who celebrate their best in cinema with The Cesar Awards. This year, the awards ceremony produced a spoof of Star Wars: Episode VII as though it were directed by Oscar-nominated Amour filmmaker Michael Haneke. This humorous look at old age in a galaxy far, far away shows us an elderly Luke Skywalker forced to care for his bedridden father, Darth Vader, who is suffering from memory loss. He thinks that a small dog is Chewbacca and doesn't even realize that Princess Leia is his own daughter. It will be quite some time before we see any actual footage from Star Wars: Episode VII, so check out this parody while we wait. Its pretty funny. And might ring more true than we imagine.
