Over the weekend, Star Wars: Episode VIII star Mark Hamill revealed that production will wrap on the sequel Friday, July 22, although there have been indications that the actor may have wrapped already. He recently posted a photo teasing that he'd shaven off his iconic Jedi beard, but we never got any confirmation that he has actually wrapped. Today we have a new video from the set, courtesy of Daisy Ridley, which teases that her character Rey has a new look as well.

Unfortunately, we don't get to see this new look, since, in her Instagram video, she covers up her new Rey hairstyle with a pillowcase. Given the new clean-shaven look of Mark Hamill, and this mysterious new hairstyle for Rey, perhaps both Luke Skywalker and Rey have different appearances for flashback scenes, or the very end of the movie. Here's what Daisy Ridley had to say on Instagram just a few hours ago.

"SURPRISE! It's #workoutwednesday cause I don't know if I have time to train Friday! Ran to to the gym between different set ups so wore a pillowcase on my head to protect my REY HAIRSTYLE from Instagram's gaze #topemployee #secrecyqueen @gravzy12 pushing me super hard! #strongfortoolong #gainz ALSO Eid Mubarak!"

This brief video came just a few hours after Daisy Ridley posted photos from the set on Skellig Michael Island, the location where the very last scene in Star Wars: The Force Awakens was shot, along with the very first scenes of Star Wars 8. While we know this sequel will be set directly after the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, there isn't much else we know about the story. With the production wrapping up, and the changes teased with both Rey and Luke Skywalker, it's possible that director Rian Johnson shot Star Wars 8 in sequence, which would account for their sudden change in appearance in the final weeks of the production.

Of course, that's only speculation at this point, since we don't have any confirmed story details as of yet. It's also worth noting that production on Star Wars 8 wraps on the Friday of San Diego Comic-Con, during what is traditionally known as Star Wars day. We don't know for sure if the production has something special in store for fans, but we'll have to wait and see. While we wait for more details, check out Daisy Ridley's Instagram video below.
