The long-awaited Star Wars: The Force Awakens has blasted to the top of Fandango's Fanticipation movie buzz indicator with a rare 100 out of 100 points. As Fandango's top advance ticket-seller of all time, The Force Awakens has obliterated records, outselling all previous titles in the company's 15-year history at the same point in the Fandango sales cycle. Here's what Fandango Chief Correspondent Dave Karger had to say in a statement about Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

"After years of fevered anticipation, the biggest pre-selling movie in Fandango's history finally reaches theaters this weekend. The box office figures and audience reaction for this exciting, shocking, and crowd-pleasing blockbuster will be staggering."

According to a survey of more than 1,000 Star Wars moviegoers on Fandango, among the new Star Wars characters, Rey (Daisy Ridley) is the one that moviegoers are most excited to see in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. 90% are looking forward to J.J. Abrams' vision of the Star Wars universe, while 86% say the film's carefully-guarded story secrets have increased their interest. Additionally, 84% of respondents are particularly excited to see the new female leads in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, while 82% are even more excited to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens because Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi's Lawrence Kasdan co-wrote the screenplay.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will introduce three new heroes into the Star Wars universe, John Boyega's Finn, Daisy Ridley's Rey and Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron, along with Adam Driver's villainous Kylo Ren. Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo) and Carrie Fisher are also reprising their iconic roles from the original trilogy. The Star Wars: The Force Awakens supporting cast includes Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Lupita Nyong'o as Maz Kanata, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke and Max von Sydow as an unidentified character.

J.J. Abrams directs Star Wars: The Force Awakens from a screenplay he co-wrote with Lawrence Kasdan and Michael Arndt. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk are serve as producers with Tommy Harper and Jason D. McGatlin executive producing. Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be followed by the first spinoff, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, arriving on December 16, 2016. Star Wars: Episode VIII is slated for release on May 26, 2017, with Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo Movie arriving on May 25, 2018 and Star Wars: Episode IX premiering sometime in 2019.
