With just 30 days left until Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters, some fans are still clinging to hope that we may see Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) in some form or another before the release on December 18. Director J.J. Abrams confirmed last month that he has been keeping the Jedi master's presence a secret for a reason, but he wouldn't say why, although there have been plenty of rumors swirling around this Jedi master's presence in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. PC Gamer managed to catch up with Mark Hamill, who revealed he actually has money riding on a big secret from Star Wars: The Force Awakens not getting out before the release.

"It's crazy though, this NDA stuff, people don't know. Non Disclosure Agreements, where you're not allowed to talk about anything. I have something coming out where there's an amount of money that if it leaks because of me, I don't get that payment. If I keep it a secret until the day it comes out, I get that payment."

While we haven't seen Luke Skywalker in any of the previously released footage, photos or posters thus far, Mark Hamill's name is on the poster that debuted last month. The actor has also appeared with the rest of the cast at Comic Con and Star Wars Celebration earlier this year. Even though we haven't seen him in any of the footage, there is no doubt he is part of the cast, but the actor revealed that he isn't even allowed to tell people that he is in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Here's what he had to say, while sharing a story about the huge secret he kept while Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back was in production.

"I'm good about keeping secrets. I'm proud of the fact that I knew a year and a half before anybody else that he was actually dad-Vader. I didn't even tell Harrison (Ford), or my wife, because I thought it would be terrible if she said 'you know what' to a fan and it got out, because [Empire Strikes Back director] Irvin Kershner said 'I know something, I'm going to tell you. George (Lucas) knows, I know and now I'm gonna tell you, and if it leaks, we'll know it's you', because the line originally was 'you don't know the truth, Obi Wan killed your father' and he said 'we're going to take that line out and put in 'I am your father.' I thought, well first of all if Sir Alec Guinness is the real villain, that's a pretty good twist in and of itself, but this is even better. I couldn't believe it. I was so excited. It was a mind-boggling plot twist. Now it's happening all over again. I'm not even authorized to tell you that I'm in Episode 7. It's all secret."

It's certainly possible that whatever secret Mark Hamill is keeping, is just as big, if not bigger, than the reveal of Darth Vader as Luke's father. One rumor is that Luke has put himself into exile at some point after Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, because he accomplished something so powerful with The Force. It is also rumored that the new villain Kylo Ren has been searching for Luke's original blue lightsaber, that was lost after Darth Vader cut off his hand in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back. Do you think any of these rumors could be tied into Mark Hamill's secret? Or could it be something even bigger?
