It also extensively shows off the latest rides that will be the pulsating heart of this bright and shiny tourist trap.

Check out this exciting new video of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opening summer 2019 at Disneyland Resort and fall 2019 at Walt Disney World Resort. Get ready to take control of the fastest ship in the galaxy on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Or join in an epic battle on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the biggest and most immersive Disney Parks attraction ever. Come to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and live your adventure in a galaxy far, far away!

As you can see in this exciting new trailer, Star Wars fans from around the world will be able to fully immerse themselves in this authentic environment first envisioned by George Lucas over forty years ago when the very first Star Wars movie hit theaters in 1977. The theme park attractions will continue the adventure after next year's Star Wars 9 brings the Skywalker saga to a close on the big screen.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and its attractions are set on the planet Batuu, which will be introduced in Star Wars 9. Set after the events of The Force Awakens trilogy, Batuu will be the final resting place of the Millennium Falcon, which is no longer in the hands of Rey and Chewbacca. Instead tourists now control the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy with Smuggler's Run, which as you can see by the video, offers every rider a perfect view out of the cockpit, and gives everyone their own special task to perform, ensuring that the mission is completed.

Once inside the Millennium Falcon, of which there is a life-sized replica square in the middle of the park, fans will get to experience what it's truly like to pilot the ship. They will get to shoot blasters and prepare for hyperspace. And it is all part of a crucial fly or die mission that will put everyone on the razor's edge of their seat.

Rise of the Resistance will put tourists in the middle of the battle between The First Order and The Resistance as good and battle battle it out for a giant turkey leg. The wait times for these attractions is going to be incredible. But fans will be able to sleep off and prepare for the grueling experience in the new Star Wars Resort that is also coming to Disney Parks, offering everyone a truly one of a kind experience that we could have only ever dreamed of back when Luke and Han blew up the first Death Star. Guests will feel like they are standing inside the hangar bay of an immense Star Destroyer. Every mission will rate you on how you perform, which will continue to have consequences inside the park. Which may be a little too much pressure for some.

Some riders will get to earn extra galactic credits for use in other areas of the Disney park. Bringing ships back in bad condition could land you on a bounty hunter's list. You may even wind up in the bad graces of Harkos, which won't bode well for you when you try to enter the local cantina. While walking through the attraction, guests will also get to meet some iconic Star Wars faces, including BB-8, Chewbacca and members of the First Order. And do you remember Rex from the original Star Tours Ride? He'll be there too, performing his new job as DJ at the cantina. Disneyland will be serving alcoholic drinks for the first time inside Star Wars land, where there will be some unique concoctions on display, including that infamous Blue Milk.

There will be plenty of souvenirs to buy inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. There will be unique one of a kind toys designed from the previous movies. This will be Star Wars storytelling at its best as you become a true part of this exciting universe. You can check out the new trailer direct from Disney Parks.
