The build up to last night's Star Wars: The Force Awakens release has been intense. And in the past two weeks, it seems some fans have sought out a very different kind of release in soothing the tension that comes with getting front row seats. To say there's been a much different kind of entertainment awakening would be putting it mildly. As everything Star Wars related has become all the rage ever since Force Friday unleashed a tidal wave of merchandise into stores this past September, you can bet the Adult Entertainment industry is not feeling left out. Star Wars porn sales have blasted through the roof, with the pornographic parody Star Wars XXX seeing a 500% increase in DVD sales over the past month.

Since the beginning of December, Star Wars XXX has become the hands on, go to means of satisfying a certain itch amongst older fans who need to be stimulated in a completely different type of way leading up to Thursday night previews. This news comes according to the adult entertainment retail site GameLink. While they have reported this incredible increase in sales, they aren't divulging just how many copies of the DVD have been sold.

Star Wars XXX isn't a new movie. The porn parody was shot in 2012. At the time, the filmmakers behind this nude buffet of alien creatures, Jedi masters and beautiful space pirates claimed it to be the highest budget porn movie ever made. Though it was surely substantially less than the $11 million it cost to make Star Wars. None the less, this was a big deal for the porn industry back in 2012, the year that Disney announced its acquisition of the LucasFilm brand and the fact that they were moving forward with a sequel. Thus far, the director and his crew have remain tightlipped about just how much such a thing actually cost to produce. Says GameLink executive Jeff Dillon.

"The spike in sales for the parody is representative of a much larger trend of brand-specific merchandise for Star Wars, which shows the strong bond fans have with the movies. We began noticing a gradual increase in sales of the title at the beginning of November, but it wasn't until the past two weeks that purchases of Star Wars XXX really skyrocketed."

We've included the SFW trailer below, which only hints at how far this Adult movie is willing to go. Watching it, it becomes quite clear that the filmmakers have gone out of their way to describe the movie as a parody or spoof. This gives the team legal protection to keep their sales erect, with Disney and Lucasfilm unable to stop its distribution. George Lucas hates all porn-related Star Wars content, with Lucasfilm sending out cease-and-desist letters all throughout the 80s, hoping to stop Star Wars fanzines from publishing pornographic "slash fiction". That battle was never won, thanks to the First Amendment.

Star Wars XXX isn't the only porn related title enjoying a growth spurt in sales this past month. There are quite a few other worthy titles that have risen to the occasion, including Sex Wars, Porn Wars and Star Whores, but Star Wars XXX pays closer attention to detail, delivering a special kind of kick that is truly satisfying those with a fetish for bun hair and thick black boots. GameLink also reports that the most copies of the movie have sold in LucasFilm's hometown of San Francisco. The other top 10 cities include Little Rock, Arkansas; New York; Tampa, Florida; Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; Montreal; Toronto; Austin and Oklahoma City. Here's just a taste of what awaits you a long time ago in a parody far, far away. You can purchase the full movie HERE.
