There have been many different cosplay ideas to have been taken from the Star Wars franchise, but a new one may take the prize for the most unexpected of all. While most Star Wars fans wanting to turn themselves into Darth Vader or Anakin Skywalker would perhaps choose one of his many dominant moments from the franchise to capture, Cambodian American cosplayer Sean Sharp decided that he would transform himself into “Crispy Anakin” as he appeared following his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi in the finale of Revenge of the Sith.

Sharing images of the costume on Instagram, Sharp captures an epic amount of details that could not have been done better in the original movie production. For Star Wars fans, Anakin’s charred appearance was originally the last time Anakin was seen as himself before he was rescued by Palpatine and began his journey to becoming Darth Vader. Check out the amazing transformation in the images below.

The images of the costume were originally taken during May 4’s Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo but have only just been shared online by its creator. There is certainly plenty of work gone into the costume and it deserves the attention it has been getting. And who doesn’t like a bit of crispy fallen Jedi in the morning.

Hayden Christensen Made A Triumphant Return to Star Wars Last Year.

Although many people believed that they would never see Hayden Christensen back on screen as Anakin Skywalker again, last year’s Obi-Wan Kenobi gave him the opportunity to score a rematch with Ewan McGregor’s Jedi. Despite his debut as Anakin in Attack of the Clones was not the best received, fans have come to love Christensen much more in the decades since, and his appearance last year made fans hungry for more. Their wish is set to be granted with the actor being part of Ahsoka later this year, although at the moment that seems set to be his final appearance with no further seasons of Obi-Wan Kenobi planned.

Both Christensen and McGregor have made no secret that they would love to return to their roles again in future, and fans would be more than happy to see both stars back again. Talking previously about the possibility of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s story continuing, he said:

"Well, it was definitely conceived as a standalone story. But I would love to continue with this character. You know, I think there's certainly more there to explore and I would be so excited to get to do so."

Outside that, may fans have also called for Christensen to be given his own show or movie to further delve into the mind and character of Darth Vader. Although the Star Wars story seems to be moving beyond the Skywalker Saga, there are still plenty of gaps in Anakin’s story that could be filled if Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm decide to tell it.

For now, fans can look forward to seeing Hayden Christensen put in his next appearance in Ahsoka this August on Disney+.
