September is almost here, which means the second annual Force Friday is looming near. This exciting day for retailers worldwide means a whole bunch of brand new Star Wars merchandise will be flooding stores. And most of it will be in support of this December's release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Today, we have a look at some of the exciting action figures that will be flying off store shelves. And one of the sets includes a very surprising inclusion.

While we do get a closer look at some of the new characters that will be storming the box office this holiday season, it's the return of Poe Dameron that is turning heads. He arrives in a two-pack action figure set from Hasbro that is titled 'Snowtrooper Officer Vs Poe Dameron'. And it gives Poe a new costume and blaster. He also has a new hair style. In The Force Awakens, Poe led the X-Wing raid on the Star Killer Base, and never got to actually land on the planet, which has since been destroyed. We're not sure what snowy battle this action figure set is teasing, or if Poe Dameron is going to be wearing these new clothes in Star Wars 8. One thing's for certain, he won't be showing up in Rogue One.

The story of Rogue One takes place decades before The Force Awakens, with a plot set just days before the events depicted in A New Hope. In the official Star Wars movie canon, Poe was conceived during the celebration that took place after the destruction of the second Death Star in Return of the Jedi. This action figure set looks to be just a fun extension of the universe. And chances are, we won't get to see Oscar Isaac taking on his new look in live-action form.

The other two Rogue One action figure sets do include new Star Wars characters that will be introduced in this first spin-off later this year. First up, we get a better look at the furry white alien known as Moroff, who is part of the Rebel Alliance. He comes packaged with what is known as a Scarif Stormtrooper Squad Leader. The third double pack of action figures includes the Rebel commando Pao, who was introduced in the sizzle reel that debuted during Star Wars Celebration this past July. He arrives side-by-side one of the Death Troopers, which is already causing quite a stir amongst fans, making this one of the must have collectibles this coming Force Friday.

In this latest line-up of merchandise, we also get to see the new Tie Striker, which was obviously not too effective, as it was put out of commission in the days leading up to the events of A New Hope. This vehicle comes with your standard imperial Tie-Fighter pilot. The second spaceship is the elusive Rebel U-Wing Fighter, which also must have not been very effective in a fight, since we never saw it again in the original trilogy. This vehicle comes with a Captain Cassian Andor figure.

Lastly, we get a look at the Stormtrooper electronic helmet, which is much like the Kylo Ren one from last year. It arrives from the Black Series line of Star Wars merchandise from Hasbro. There are still plenty of Rogue One action figures to be revealed in the weeks leading up to September 30, when all of this merch will be hanging on retailer shelves across the country starting one minute after minute. Take a look thanks to Jedi Temple Archives.
