The release of Rogue One is a little more than a week away. At this point, there are seemingly countless TV spots and trailers to keep up with. That being the case, hardcore Star Wars fans are either a little fatigued with largely the same footage being re-edited or they simply don't want to see anything else until the movie hits theaters next week. So, instead, you can watch this hilarious Star Wars fan film inspired by the very first Star Wars Story.

YouTuber Darren Wallace recently uploaded the video to his YouTube channel, titled Star Wars: Rogue Wha?, which appropriately starts off with the tagline "The following makes no sense," because none of it really does, but it is still very enjoyable. It consists of three very short but very great comedy skits, all having to do with Star Wars: Rogue One. The entire video clocks in at 2:23, but it doesn't have to be long to do the trick. For Star Wars fans and potentially a good way to help get by until the actual movie comes out next week.

The first of the three shorts starts off on the beaches of the planet Scarif, or the beach planet that was shown at the end of the first Rogue One: A Star Wars Story teaser where the Rebels were going head-to-head with the AT-ACT walkers. In it, Darren Wallace envisions a much more ridiculous and entertaining way for the Rebels to defeat the walkers. Granted, it is pretty hard to beat shooting one in the face with a rocket launcher, but this comes pretty close. There is also a good bit poking fun at the new Tie Striker, which may look cool but this skit sort of pokes a little fun at the seemingly impractical design. Warning: there is vomit.

Lastly, Darren Wallace decided to have some fun with the highly advertised Death Troopers. Since the early days of the ad campaign for Star Wars: Rogue One, Disney and Lucasfilm have been promoting the all black Death Troopers very heavily. Since we don't know much about them, save for their ominous name, he decided to just make a heavy metal music video with Death Troopers in it. As it turns out, the song is actually pretty good, as far as Star Wars inspired metal songs go.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is going to be the first ever Star Wars movie to take place outside of the main Skywalker storyline. It will be telling the tale of the Rebels actually got their hands on the plans for the Death Star, which was originally teased in the opening crawl of Star Wars: A New Hope back in 1977. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens on December 16 and pre-sale tickets are available now. In the meantime, be sure to check out
